The Biltmore Courtyard Stable area is located next to the house. Visitors to the house exit just at the entrance to this area.

The Biltmore Estate Market
The Stables at Biltmore House in Asheville NC

Like other restored areas of the estate, development efforts are focused on commercial enterprises such as restaurants and gift shops which sell items branded with the Biltmore name. (The Antler Hill Village by the River Bend Farm will open in 2010 and will offer even more shopping. It was designed by the same firm that has built facilities for Sea World and Disney).

The stable house originally held a carriage house in one wing and stables in the other wing. Male servants lived on the upper floor. The Biltmore Estate Candy Shop

The Cafe at the Biltmore House in Asheville NC

Today the Courtyard Stables offer a bakery, ice cream parlor and sandwich shop with outdoor courtyard seating and the Stable Café which offers indoor seating for lunch and dinner.

The rest of the stables facility contains gift shops with toys, candy and the ever-present Christmas and Biltmore-branded items.
